Akh Nare-Nare // Ախ Նարե-Նարե

Akh Nare-Nare is a love song originally from historic Western Armenia. It also was one of the first songs I learned on the Duduk. Maestro’s nephew, who also plays the Duduk and often sits in on my all-day marathon lessons, is named Narek, the male variant of the name Nare. Since this song is all about someone named Nare, Narek and I decided that it would be a fun one to learn! The video above is a recording of me playing Akh Nare-Nare accompanied by my annotated music transcription.
